Hi there! I’m Tiffany – blessed wife and mother of two. Follower of Christ, humbly trying to be a good and faithful steward of all He has provided.
I believe that God gives each of us gifts, and that we are to share and use those gifts with those around us, in order to glorify and honor Him.
My husband and I started our marriage off in a great deal of debt. God saw us through that trial and has challenged us to share what we’ve learned about finance, food and natural living with others who struggle in this area.
The mere fact that you are visiting my blog and reading this page means that God’s mighty hand is at work. This astonishes and humbles me on a daily basis. Thank you.
In the very beginning…
Shortly before our first child was born, I decided to leave my well-paying, full-time corporate job. This meant I could stay home and raise our baby, but this also meant our income would be cut by 50%. In order to pay our bills and keep creditors from knocking at our doors every month, we had to figure out a way to reduce our spending by 50% too.
We scrutinized every expense from every angle we could think of. From the big bills like mortgage and credit cards, to the little bills like trash collection service and cell phones – every single bill was reduced to as low as we could possibly get it.
In those two years we realized that even the small things in life – the crumbs – were gifts and provisions from God. Being a good and faithful steward of the crumbs is how we got out of debt in the first place, and it’s still how we keep ourselves out of debt to this day.
Crumbs originally began a place to share ways to reduce your electricity bill, how to create a grocery budgetorhow to bring in extra cash to cover Christmas gifts. However, my love for food crept in more and more often and I soon found myself sharing how I meal plan to keep my grocery budget under control and the latest research about weird ingredients in my coffee creamer.
Readers encouraged me in my own journey to eat real food on a budget, and I wanted to help them start one of their own.
What It’s All About…
Don’t Waste the Crumbs is an upbeat and encouraging blog dedicated to helping other families eat real food, and live healthier lives, without going broke in the process. The key to all of this though, is that it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a long, slow and gradual process that can only be accomplished by taking one small step at at time, towards the direction of “better.”
If this is your first time visiting, I’d love for you to get to “know” me a bit better. If you’ve got some time, read how our journey to real food began, why we decided to not spend any money for 30 daysorhow a simple switch changed 20+ years of acne.
Those will pretty much get you up to speed.
